Hello and welcome!
How are you feeling today? Did I just hear you say, “Im feeling tired due to lack of energy, don’t feel like doing anything, just want to sit around and mope.”?
Well it’s a good thing you’re reading this, now get off your backside and walk into your kitchen – the answer is in one of your cupboards!
What am I looking for which gives me more energy ?
Coffee of course! Now why didn’t I think of that you’d say. A cup of coffee first thing in the morning (as soon as you wake up) will give you enough and more energy to see you through till the end of the day.
How does Coffee work that way?
Coffee has a certain amount of caffeine which doesn’t entertain ‘the feeling tired and run down syndrome’ caffeine also helps boost your mind which in turn keeps you alert.
As for me, I must have my cuppa as soon as I wake up, puts a spring in my step and most importantly, it ‘wakes me up ‘.
You don’t have to stay in your kitchen and pour so many cups of coffee down your throat either! Just a couple of cups a day is sufficient.
I’d class coffee as a natural pick me up, it takes away stress and oh it’s a social drink too.
Coffee is a healthy drink and I’ll definitely recommend it to anyone, it’s packed full of goodness in order for us to live a long and healthy life and leaves us with a lower risk of disease, which I’m looking forward to as I drink two cups of coffee a day.
Coffee is one of the most popular drinks in the world. If you’re not a coffee drinker, now’s your chance to give it a try, I’m sure you’ll love it and then reap the benefits.
Why shouldn’t I have energy drinks ?
First of all energy drinks have a huge amount of caffeine and high levels of sugar to make their drinks sweet. They also contain certain ingredients, artificial and dangerous substances, which are used as preservatives.
They’re a short term pick me up which leaves you feeling tired for the rest of the day.
They leave you reaching out for another and another until you end up with too much caffeine in your system, which can cause serious health issues such as heart problems, high blood pressure, weight gain, stroke and sometimes death.
Energy drinks are freely available in every supermarket and convenience store which makes it easier for children to reach out and pick those dangerous drinks, and since so sweet, children love them but sadly don’t know the dangers of such drinks.
So if you only take one thing away from this article, let it be this: Please remember that energy drinks have the ability to seriously damage your health long term.
So please switch to coffee or espresso, enjoy it, and then reap its health benefits.
Are you a coffee drinker? Or an energy drink guzzler? Let me know below – I appreciate your comments!

Well done =) On occasion I might pop open a Monster Java beverage (my favorite is the Irish cream with the pretty green can) but yes-Amp, Rip it (to name a few) so much sugar and you can crash and burn. I’d say the 5 hour energy shot is a better alternative to those. Red Bull comes in different sizes and has a sugar-free (light blue label) variety so a few times I’ve tried an 8 oz can, especially when there was a promotional blueberry flavor out for a limited time (I love blueberry!) but yep; all around just plain bad for you.
