Good Morning!
I couldn’t wait to roll out of bed and head for the kitchen as it’s coffee time again! But this time it’s coffee with a twist! Let me explain… it’s coffee with coconut oil!
Now don’t pull faces or be in shock, horror, keep calm!! I can assure you it’s delicious and very healthy.
The Benefits of Coffee with Coconut Oil
Believe me coconut oil has lots of different nutrients and once opened it stays fresh for quite a long time, and has a lovely aroma.
Coconut oil is a superb type of food which gives you more energy and in burns more fat but still keeps you feeling full for longer. No more hunger cravings!!!
Asians add coconut to everything they cook they even eat it plain. They reap the benefits and are in the best of health. No more an apple a day keeps the doctor away!!
Coconut oil is a healthy saturated fat, a traditional medicine which helps prevent infections and viruses and keeps your heart healthy. Don’t be scared off by the word ‘saturated’ – although its had a lot of bad press, studies are showing that saturated fat isn’t the demon it’s made out to be.
Preparation method
First of all you’ll need a blender.
Now add hot coffee to your blender with one tablespoon of coconut oil and blend well.
The result: well blended frothy coffee with no traces of oil floating on the top of your coffee. You can add whatever
sweetener you use.
It’s a crazy idea, but it tastes so good. I just love it!
Oh by the way you don’t need any special type of coffee, use your favorite. But for the coconut oil, either use organic, virgin, or organic virgin coconut oil – it preserves the nutrients much better than heavily processed coconut oil.
A Healthy Breakfast
Now here’s a healthy option, instead of using spread on your bread use coconut oil. It tastes great! Like being on holiday somewhere exotic! 🙂 You can also prepare your full English breakfast by using coconut oil.
But that’s not all…
Calling all ladies, instead of using body lotion, use coconut oil as it softens the skin. Yes it’s true! And it smells heavenly.
I use coconut oil on my hair once a week, wrap a towel around my head and leave it for about two hours before shampooing. Believe me – you’ll see and feel the difference it’s so soft and manageable!
Oh didn’t I tell you, you can also use coconut oil in cakes, juices and in cereals and it does reduce sweet cravings, it also boosts your mind and keeps you alert.
Coconut oil has so many uses and benefits – what ways are you finding to use it? Let me know in the comments below!
