It’s morning again, my favorite time of day when I look forward to making some freshly ground coffee for a special pick me up!
I’ve just finished and I’m wide awake, ready for a busy day – I know my feet won’t even touch the floor! After a day like today, I want something very special to relax with – but not something alcoholic. Not today, at least – it’s only been a couple of nights since I broke the seal on my last batch of coffee liqueur!
Today I want a sweet creamy treat – it feels like coffee punch Tuesday!
What’s Coffee Punch?
Coffee Punch is an alcohol free dressing for your coffee, you and your kids will love it. It’s a big ol’ hug in a mug!
It contains lots of ice cream, either vanilla or chocolate or both. You can also gather your friends around (not forgetting their kids!) for a very interesting coffee morning – the only problem is you’ll never be able to get rid of them!! It will be a total hit with everyone!
It’s a luxurious, velvety afternoon pick me up or an anytime pick me up! Any excuse to have a sweet and creamy heavenly feeling. I just love it and so will you.
It’s super easy and cheap to make – with just one taste you’ll be reaching out for more. Do you have a function coming up? If you do, this is the ideal way to surprise your guests – it’ll make you the talk of the town!
And despite its name, it’s alcohol free and suitable for coffee drinkers, non-coffee drinkers and kids. If some of your guests are young or sensitive to caffeine, decaf works just fine.
How do I make Mocha Coffee Punch?
This is a fab recipe for Mocha Coffee Punch by Amy Johnson at She Wears Many Hats – make sure you visit her fantastic page for the full ingredients list!
Making it is easy too. Simply:
Brew your hot coffee, add your cocoa powder, vanilla extract and cinnamon and whisk together.
Add your milk and ice cream and pour into a punch bowl and stir until ice cream melts.
Then pour mixture into dessert bowls and add the toppings, whipped cream with a sprinkle of cinnamon and cocoa powder.
I told you it was easy – it will only take 10 minutes!
Once again, a big thank you to Amy for this amazing recipe!
Now if the kids arent around, try adding your favorite coffee liqueur for an extra kick and enjoy!
And finally, here’s something to think about – coffee isn’t a drug it’s actually a vitamin drink! So don’t feel guilty – be a coffee drinker and espresso yourself!!!
Have fun!
